Sunday, January 28: Chef Shinichiro Takagi’s restaurant Zeniya, in his native city of Kanazawa on Japan’s west coast, serves intricately thoughtful meals that command a full presence of mind and emotion. Chef Takagi’s cooking is paired with 100% unadulterated junmai sake from Fukumitsuya Sake Brewery, also of Kanazawa.
Monday, March 12: Husband-and-wife team Matt Danzer and Ann Redding run the wildly popular restaurant Uncle Boon’s—and its new sibling, Uncle Boons Sister—which are renowned for playful updates on regional Thai dishes, including more unusual preparations from the North and Isaan (northeast) regions.
